About the event

The beginning of May will mark the peak of springtime, and the time of Beltaine ("BYALL-tin-aye"), the vibrant, playful, and ancient fire festival of the Celtic cultures.

Let's come together and find our place in time, and ground ourselves within the season. Let us clarify where we are, what we are devoting ourselves to, and support and encourage each other in the process!

This Beltane community gathering features seasonal magic and includes:

  • a personal tarot card reading

  • the creation of a simple mandala, made with living flowers, stones, fabrics, and small paintings, in a process directed by the group

  • colour play and discussion

  • community connection

Together we will partake in a group tarot ritual, which functions as an act of community care.

No personal sharing is required in the group tarot ritual, although often participants choose to do so.

Whatever private information a person may choose to share in the space is asked to be kept in the circle.

Suggested items to bring:

-a journal and a pen (optional)

-an object, flower, or article of clothing of a particular colour that feels meaningful to you right now

Suggested dress code:

-most importantly: wear what feels comfortable for you
